Circuit #9
A dual stage amplifier with DC coupling between anode and grid.
Practically, Rk1 and Rk2 are decoupled by capacitors, and Rd1 has a parallel capacitor to make sure T2 is driven by the AC signal of T1.
See “Designing Valve Preamps for Guitar and Bass” by Merlin Blencowe, page 105.
A too low value of Rk2 may prevent T2 to converge.
PARAMETERS
V supply
Select T1 type
Ω anode output resistor
Ω cathode bias resistor
Select T2 type
Ω anode output resistor
Ω cathode bias resistor
Resistor bridge:
Ω anode to grid resistor
Ω grid to ground resistor
Not implemented here, works fine in the PC application.
